INGREDIENTS

- butter - brown sugar - granulated sugar - egg - molasses - vanilla - all purpose flour - baking soda - ground ginger - cinnamon - ground cloves - salt

Start by creaming the butter and sugars together, Then add the egg, molasses, and vanilla.

 Then, sift in the dry ingredients and mix well. Let the dough chill for 15 minutes before rolling.

Roll the dough to an even 1/4 inch thickness in between two sheets of parchment paper.

Bake at 330ºF degrees for 8-10 minutes. During baking, the cookies should puff up slightly but still hold their shape. When they are done baking, they should have a slight change in colour but not be too dark.
