An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. Contact forms
To assist with sending you requested information (blog posts), I use Mailchimp plugin to collect and store your email address. You may opt out of the collection of your data by unsubscribing (we will remove your data) and contacting them using the instructions on their privacy page here.

If you leave a comment on my blog you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Analytics
Who I share your data with
Other readers will be able to see your comments. Data collected via Google Analytics is used primarily to assess readership, gauge the effectiveness of posts, and referred to during social campaigns. No personal data is given out to a third party.
How long I retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
Google Analytics data is retained for 26 months.
