Are you a big fan of garlic? Lorraine and Kevin at Garlic Goodness farm in Red Deer is the perfect location for you to visit during Open Farm Days.
Located in the heart of Alberta’s rich farmland, Red Deer County, they grow a mixture of vegetables (with a focus on garlic) in the fertile prairie soil. Garlic Goodness produce is sold mainly through direct sales from the farm or through deliveries (check their Facebook page for updates).

Wild Mountain Music Festival
Summer season is here and music festivals are popping up all around the province! Last summer we were pretty house bound but this year we’re going all out. Summer 2018 is all about getting out there and attending some amazing events.
Soon we’ll be hauling the old tent trailer up to Hinton Alberta for the Wild Mountain Music Festival. Three days of camping in the picturesque Alberta Rockies (right at the doorstep of Jasper National Park). We’ll fall asleep to the soothing sound of amazing Canadian artists and wake up to fresh mountain air.

Alberta Open Farm Days
Join me on a tour of several farms in Stettler County, Alberta during Alberta Open Farm Days (August 19 & 20) with Destination Stettler. As I battled the city rush hour traffic, I focused on the blue sky above. It was dotted with the same fluffy white clouds that I knew would be waiting for me out in the country. I couldn’t wait to get out to the open fields, fresh air, and peaceful quiet.
